Formation of the Resident Association (RA)

The idea of forming the Resident Association (RA) was first mooted by a group of residents led by our current chairman Mr Loke See Soong back in year 2007. Following some discussions, a pro-term committee comprising the various road representatives was formed in March 2007. The RA now consists of 12 committee members. The committee members meet regularly to discuss the structures, policies, objectives of the Association and tackle problems faced by the residents. The  pro-term committee held its first Resident General Meeting on 20.5.2007 and in this meeting the office bearers were officially elected and the residents were told of an application for the RA to be registered  as a society with the Registrar of Society(ROS). The RA was officially registered as an approved Society on 31.3.2008 bearing registration No :0616-08-SEL.

Objectives of the RA

• To provide a good and affordable security services to the community so that the residents can live in a safe, peaceful and comfortable environment free from crimes.
• To upkeep, maintain and clean the surroundings to enable the residents to enjoy a clean and well landscaped environment to enhance the value of property in this garden. 
• To promote the spirit of unity and co operation among all residents through communal programs to educate residents of a good security and personal responsibility, to pursue cultural, recreation and out door activities to promote interaction, contacts and communication among the residents.
  

Commitment and Transparency

• Kindly take note that the members of the present Committee are our residents who volunteer their time and effort to work for the benefit of the residents. Committee members meet once a month to deal with various problems faced by the RA and the residents.
• The RA is committed to transparency and will timely inform the residents on all developments related to KASTURI 2.   

Current Activities   

• Currently the RA is negotiating with the developer to formally hand-over the managed services to RA.
• Individual titles are now available for collection, the RA is trying to arrange with MPKj councilor for a presentation ceremony  in our garden where all residents will be able to collect the title instead of individually going to the land office.
